Government Funding for children attending Preschool
Funding for Two Year olds

If you are working parents, you may be eligible for 30 hours funding per week during term time. To see if you are eligible you can get more information from www.beststartinlife.gov.uk.
You need to apply the term before your child starts preschool and then reconfirm eligibility every three months. It is very important that you do this as otherwise funding can stop. Once eligibility has been confirmed you will be given a number to pass on to us at Preschool. We will then pass on a funding form for parents to fill out.

If you are on benefits, your two-year-old may also be entitled to 15 hours per week during term time. West Sussex County council will normally contact you if your child is eligible.
Funding for Three and Four Year olds

In England, if you have a child aged three or four, they are entitled to 15 hours per week during term time of funded childcare. This rises to 30 hours if both parents are working at least 16 hours per week (or one parent if you are in a lone parent family).

If you are claiming 15 hours universal funding, then there is no need to apply, we will pass on a funding form for parents to fill out.

If you are claiming up to 30 hours working families funding then please see above on how to apply. If you already have this funding for your two year old then it will automatically carry on once they turn 3, as long as you reconfirm eligibility every three months.

We also accept tax free childcare vouchers for all children.

Funding can be shared with other childcare settings.

Funding can be used for any hours children attend Preschool, there are no additional fees.
